The Amish Tradesmen

The Amish Tradesmen builds custom pole buildings from its office and model showroom at 26673 Sussex Highway in Seaford, Delaware. The Christian-based, locally owned company is operated by the Harman family and cites more than 40 years in business. Its service area is deliberately tight: Kent and Sussex counties in Delaware only, with no work in New Castle County or outside the state.

The crews are Amish, Mennonite, and Christian craftsmen with long field experience, transported to job sites by a hired driver. Projects span residential, commercial, and agricultural uses, including garages, barns, pool houses, RV and boat storage, pavilions, barndominiums, and commercial structures. Service is full turnkey, covering site preparation, the custom building itself, concrete floors, garage doors, and gutters and downspouts.

The sales process is hands-on: customers tour sample buildings at the Seaford showroom, meet to customize the design, and place windows and doors exactly where they want them. Complimentary quotes and proposed drawings are emailed before any work begins. The showroom operates Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm, by appointment.
