If you request quotes, we collect what you type in the form: your name, email, phone if you give it, your state and city, and details about your planned build such as size, budget, and timeline.

If you claim a builder listing, we collect your name, work email, phone if you give it, and your message.

Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people use. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed, device type, and rough location.

Quote requests exist to be shared: we send your request, including your contact details, to builders who work in your area so they can quote your project. That is the whole point of the form. We do not sell your information to anyone else, and we do not add you to marketing lists you did not ask for.

Claim requests are used to verify that you represent the listed company and to update the listing.

Build details from quote requests, such as price per square foot, may be used in anonymous, aggregate form to improve our public cost data. Never with your name or contact details attached.

Our website runs on Vercel. Our database runs on Neon. Our email runs on Zoho Mail. Analytics run on Google Analytics. Each of these companies processes data on our behalf to run the service.

Quote and claim records are kept while they are useful for running the service. If you want your information deleted, email us and we delete it.

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email ned@barndofinder.com and we handle it. You can block cookies in your browser; the site works fine without them.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Big changes get a note on this page.
