The Barndo Company

The Barndo Company builds post-frame barndominium shells from Holgate, Ohio, with a second location opened in Ottawa, Ohio in 2024. The business began as Schwab Builders LLC in 2022 and rebranded as The Barndo Company in 2024. Owners Nicole and Ross Beckman run it as a family operation drawing on more than 40 years of family building background.

The company is an authorized independent builder of Wick Buildings, which supplies machine-graded lumber, UL-listed steel roof panels, and Wick's own fastener system. The process starts with a consultation call, moves into design consultations with sketches, 3D renderings, and budget review, then a final design review, contract signing with a 50 percent deposit, and engineering submission, with delivery quoted at 6 to 12 weeks. The company publishes sample plans such as the 768 square foot Bayfield and the 1,798 square foot Calumet, and cites roughly $175 to $200 per finished square foot as a planning figure.

Phased construction is offered, for example building the garage or camper bay first and adding the residence later. Financing referrals go through AgCredit and First Merchants Bank. Service is focused on Ohio.
